For this Oadby family home, we reimagined the lounge as a calm, layered space for family living and entertaining. The brief called for warmth and quiet luxury, so we built the scheme around a soft palette of taupe, stone and cream, with texture doing the heavy lifting rather than colour.

The focal point is a bespoke media wall, featuring fluted paintable panelling that frames an 83" screen with a soft backlit glow and a floating media unit below. Alongside it, a shallow built-out wall forms three inset coves with concealed LED lighting, giving the family a place to display photographs and treasured pieces.

Tactile bouclé and woven upholstery, a marble-inspired rug and sculptural ceramics complete the room. Every detail was planned to the millimetre, from socket positions to cove depths, so the finished space feels effortless, considered and entirely personal to the family who live there.
